Magnet Feed (NdPr)

The Money Metals

While a mine produces 17 elements, investors mostly care about “Magnet Feed.” This usually refers specifically to the oxide combination of Neodymium and Praseodymium (NdPr).

Didymium

Because Nd and Pr are neighbors on the periodic table and are chemically very similar, they are difficult to separate. For magnet making, they don’t actually need to be separated. They are often sold as a mixed metal called “Didymium,” which is the primary feedstock for electric vehicle motors.
