Earlier this month, Apple introduced the new AirPods 4 and AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation. They just started shipping to customers last week, and now they are already $10 off. This means you can get the AirPods 4 for just $119, or the AirPods 4 with ANC for $169. Which are not too shabby, for pricing.
Out of the two, we’d recommend grabbing the AirPods 4 with ANC, not only because of the Active Noise Cancellation, but because the regular AirPods 4 are missing so many things. Like Find My. That is definitely something you’d want in your home, as you’re likely gonna lose it at some point. There is a speaker, but it doesn’t have Apple’s U1 chip to point you in the right direction of the AirPods 4.
Both do sport the new H2 chip, which provides improved voice isolation, making it better for using for phone calls, especially in loud conditions. They also have pretty decent battery life. We’re looking at about 5 hours of listening time, with up to 30 hours from the case. Both models also use USB-C now, ditching the lightning connector. But, unfortunately, the USB-C cable is not included in the box. Yet another thing that Apple is removing from its boxes these days.
