Chipolo trackers will start shipping immediately instead of a mandatory wait time. Chipolo’s website is offering two variants of trackers and both will work on Android’s Find My Device network.

AirTag-like Chipolo trackers shipping immediately as the company eliminates waitlists

The Chipolo trackers will now be available without any wait times. The company has revised the shipping times for the AirtTag-like trackers. There are two variants of the trackers. The Chipolo’s One Point and Card Point will work on Android’s Find My Device network.

Available only on Chipolo’s official website, for now, the listings for both the trackers indicate they will be shipped immediately. For US customers, standard shipping may take anywhere between 2 and 9 nine. Buyers can opt for “Express Shipping”, which promises delivery within 1 to 3 days.

The Chipolo One Point and Chipolo Card Point were previously available for pre-order. The website indicated shipping was scheduled for the “end of July.”

Incidentally, Chipolo also offers a variant that works on Apple’s Find My app. These belong to the “Spot” series, and they have been available for quite some time.

A single Chipolo One Point costs 25 Euros (approx. $27), while a four-pack costs 75 Euros (approx. $82). A single Chipolo Card Point costs 30 Euros (approx. $33), while a four-pack costs 100 Euros (approx. $110)

How do these trackers work?

Chipolo trackers work on Google’s Find My Device network. Similar to Apple’s “Find My” network, Google’s Find My Device relies on Android devices to ping the location of a lost or misplaced device.

The Chipolo One Point has a circular disc shape and includes a replaceable battery. The round disc has a keyring hole. Users can command the tracker to ring, and see the live location of the object.

The Chipolo One Point features a loud 120dB speaker, a replaceable CR2032 battery, and IPX5 water resistance. It can offer distance hints but does not support precision finding like the Apple AirTag.

As the name implies, the Chipolo Card Point is a card-sized tracker. It has similar specifications but packs a slightly quieter 105dB speaker. This variant’s battery cannot be changed and the entire card needs to be replaced after two years. Buyers have to rely on Chipolo’s renew and reuse program, which offers a discount on new cards.

Both the cards rely on Bluetooth to communicate with Android devices that are part of the Find My Device network. Google has yet to fully activate the network across all the regions where Android smartphones are available. Chipolo competes with Pebblebee, which was one of the first brands to launch its Find My Device-supported trackers.
