More details on the track price feature for Google Chrome for Android

The new track price feature is specifically for those shopping on Google Chrome. This feature is making its debut on the Android version of the Google Chrome app. Currently, there is no news on its presence on Google Chrome for iOS devices. But it might also head over to iOS shortly.

Users will only be able to use this feature on eligible websites and pages. Online shopping stores like Best Buy, eBay, Amazon, etc, will load alongside the track price feature. The feature will become accessible when a user loads the sale page of a specific item.

On Google Chrome for Android, the price tracker button is next to the search tab at the top of the browser interface. It has a bell icon, and tapping on it will enable the app to track the price of the item for sale on the loaded page. Once a user taps on this icon, they need to follow up by toggling on the price-tracking option.

This toggle option reads “Get alerts if the price drops on any site.” Turning the toggle on will enable the user to get a notification whenever there is a drop in the price of a specific item. Surprisingly, this notification is sent when there is a drop in the price of a certain item on any shopping website.

This is possible since Google tracks the item on various shopping websites. The feature is still rolling out to users of Google Chrome for Android in the United States. Once readily available, users might depend on it to get the latest price drops on items for sale on various shopping websites.
