The HONOR 80 GT is HONOR’s latest smartphone, and this one packs a punch. This phone got announced in China, and it’s somewhat interesting. Let’s talk about the design first, shall we.

The device has a curved display, with thin bezels, and a centered display camera hole. There’s glass on its back, and it’s flat on that side, for the most part. The frame is made out of metal, while the camera design is a bit odd. It’s one camera island separated by what seems to be a horizontal metal line.

The HONOR 80 GT is official, and its ‘Meteor Blue’ color options is quite interesting

There are three color options, but the Meteor Blue one is definitely the most eye-catching. It has a meteor shower on the back, and it actually looks really nice in renders. It will be interesting to see how this look on an actual device.

The HONOR 80 GT features a 6.67-inch fullHD+ OLED display. That panel has a 120Hz refresh rate, and it’s a 10-bit display with HDR10 support. It goes up to 1,400 nits of peak brightness, and 2,160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming is also included.

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 fuels this smartphone

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 fuels this smartphone, while the device comes with 12GB/16GB of LPDDR5 RAM. 256GB of UFS 3.1 flash storage is included with both variants. Android 12 comes pre-installed, with Magic UI 7.0 on top.

There are two SIM card slots here (2x nano SIM), while a 4,800mAh battery comes included. The HONOR 80 GT supports 66W SuperCharge fast charging, while wireless charging is not supported.

There are three cameras included on the back

A 54-megapixel main camera (Sony’s IMX800 sensor, f/1.9 aperture) is included here, as is an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera (f/2.2 aperture). The third camera on the back is a 2-megapixel macro unit (f/2.4 aperture). A 16-megapixel selfie camera (f/2.4 aperture) is also a part of the package.

There is an in-display fingerprint scanner included here, an optical one. A Type-C USB port sits at the bottom, while stereo speakers are also a part of the package. Bluetooth 5.2 is supported.
