Huawei has just announced a handful of new flagship smartwatches during its global event in Barcelona. Four new watches arrived, well, if you count different sizes of the watches, then it’s more than four, but… it’s simpler to categorize them this way.
Huawei brought a handful of flagship smartwatches to global markets, including the GT 5 series
The Huawei Watch GT 5 series got announced, including 42mm and 46mm sizes. The same goes for the Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro family, with those same size differences. On top of that, the Huawei Watch D2 arrived, and the Huawei Watch Ultimate Gold Edition.
If we count the different sizes of these watches (which also look different), we have six different watches. Let’s kick things off with the Huawei Watch GT 5 series, shall we?
Huawei Watch GT 5 & GT 5 Pro
The Huawei Watch GT 5 watches are made out of metal and are quite similar to the GT 4 series design-wise. There are two buttons on the right-hand side, while the top one also rotates.
These watches offer the Huawei TruSense System, an “ integrated health and fitness tracking feature that comes with an upgraded sensor and improved algorithms”. Now, depending on whether we’re talking about regular GT 5 or GT 5 Pro watches, they’re made out of stainless steel or titanium/ceramic, it all depends on the variant.
These watches have support for over 100 sports, including “wind-down exercises” such as yoga and pilates. The ‘Pro’ version even has medical-grade ECG Analysis too. Huawei also included 14 new watch faces in these smartwatches. These watches can, of course, monitor your sleep and heart rate, and the ‘Pro’ models also have an electrode-built ECG button. Blood oxygen and respiratory rate monitoring is also a part of all watches.
Huawei is also betting big on Golf users for this watch, as it introduced the ‘Golf Course’ mode for the GT 5 series. The company says these watches offer excellent battery life, with up to 14 days of usage for the larger models (46mm), and up to 7 days for the smaller models (41mm and 42mm).
There’s also an improvement in terms of messages. The Huawei Watch GT 5 series now also offers a full keyboard input when you’re replying to messages. All watches also support IP69K resistance, including water resistance, corrosion resistance, and wear resistance.
The Huawei Watch GT 5 series will become available in Europe starting today. The prices start at £229.99 for the GT 5 and from £329.99 for the GT 5 Pro.

Huawei Watch D2
The Huawei Watch D2 is an “ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) device”. It is certified by NMPA and MDR, and it’s the first wrist-based device with this offering.
This smartwatch can deliver a 24-hour blood pressure measurement, and it also offers the Huawei TruSense System that the GT 5 sereis offers. This is a square smartwatch, and it comes in black and white colors. It also has two buttons on the right, including the rotating crown.
This smartwatch is “light and slim” says Huawei, while it has a 1.82-inch main display. This smartwatch is going on sale in Europe today too, for £349.99.
Huawei Watch Ultimate Gold Edition
Huawei also announced a new version of its Huawei Watch Ultimate product. Its name is the Huawei Watch Ultimate Golf Edition. This watch adds a green flare to the silver color of the original smartwatch.
It comes with the Advanced Golf Course features and the enhanced Expedition mode. Its nano-tech ceramic bezel is still there, but now with a flare of green on top.
This watch can provide you with precise analytics and insights for golf enthusiasts, such as play distance, shot distance, AI Caddie, and more. The new Expedition Route import is also available, along with all the other features you’d expect.
This smartwatch goes on sale starting today too, for £749.99.
