Infinix ZERO Flip

Today, the Chinese smartphone manufacturing company Infinix globally launched its first foldable phone, the Zero Flip. If you keep up with leaks and rumors, you might know that some key specs and features have already been leaked online. Since the device is now official, let me walk you through all the details including official specs, features, availability, and price of the device.

Infinix’s first foldable phone ‘Zero Flip’ launches globally with Mediatek Dimensity 8020 SoC

For starters, the Infinix Zero Flip sports a 3.64-inch AMOLED cover display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and peak brightness of 1100 nits. The cover screen which Infinix calls ‘Dynamic MultiView Display’ can be used to add customizable 3D animated pets and shortcuts to apps like WhatsApp and YouTube. Let’s not forget that the cover display comes with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.

Flipping the phone open, you’ll see a large 6.9-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. The inner display comes with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness of 1400 nits. The Infinix’s first foldable phone packs MediaTak’s Dimensity 8020 SoC under the hood for performance duties. On top of that, it runs Android 14 with XOS 14.5 out of the box. It should be noted that the company has promised two Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates.

Cameras, battery, and charging

Talking of cameras, Infinix’s first foldable Android phone features a dual-camera setup on its cover display which doubles up as a rear setup when you flip it open. There’s a primary 50MP Samsung GN5 sensor with OIS support. While the other 50MP lens handles the ultra-wide shots.

Besides, you’ll find a front-facing camera on the inner display of the Zero Flip which uses a 50MP Samsung JN1 camera sensor for all your selfie needs. As with every other flip phone, you can use the Zeo Flip’s cover display camera for considerably better selfies.

Infinix hasn’t compromised on the battery department of its first foldable phone either. The Zero Flip comes with a big 4720 mAh which is relatively bigger than that of the Galaxy Z Flip 6. The device further supports 70W fast wired charging and 10W reverse charging over wired connection.

Price, availability, and other features

Moving on, the Infinix Zero Flip comes with GoPro integration similar to the Zero 40 series. You’ll find a dedicated GoPro mode that allows adjusting settings while vlogging right from the phone. That’s not all, you can also use the Zero Flip as a display for your GoPro shots.

Other key highlights of the first Infinix foldable phone are that it comes with Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC support. Additionally, the Zero Flip comes with Google’s Gemini, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and dual JBL speakers.

Talking of price, the only variant of the Zero Flip with 8GB RAM and 512GB storage costs $600. Worth noting that there’s no microSD support, so that’s all you get in terms of storage. You can choose Infinix’s first clamshell foldable phone from Blossom Glow and Rock Black color options. The Zero Flip will be available in Malaysia on October 1. Moreover, it could soon launch in India with a price tag of roughly INR 50,200.
