We wrote about Meizu’s upcoming flagship smartphones several times now. The Meizu 20 and Meizu 20 Pro are the devices in question, and the company has just announced that they’re coming on March 30.
The Meizu 20 and Meizu 20 Pro will be the company’s first phone launches since 2021
Meizu has not announced a single phone since September 2021. For a long time, the company has been releasing a couple of phones a year, and it skipped the entire last year, as you can see.
Meizu got acquired by Geely in the meantime, and promised its supporters a grand comeback. Well, the Meizu 20 and Meizu 20 Pro are coming to try to push in the right direction.
The two phones will be announced in China, and we still don’t know if they’ll become available globally. The event page is already up on the company’s official website. We already know what these two phones will look like.
Their designs leaked several times, and Meizu confirmed those leaks. Both phones will have flat sides, all of them. Their corners will be rounded, and will have separate camera modules on the back.
The Meizu 20 series is coming on March 30 with interesting designs & powerful specs
Each of the cameras will protrude from the backplate directly, and they’ll be vertically-aligned. The Meizu 20 will include three cameras, while the Meizu 20 Pro will have four. The last camera module on each phone has an LED flash around it, as you can see.
Thus far, we know that both phones will be fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. So, Qualcomm’s most powerful SoC will fuel them. Flyme 10 will come out of the box on both phones.
We also know that the Meizu 20 Pro will feature a 10-bit 120Hz display with a QHD+ resolution. That will be Samsung’s E6 panel, which is an LTPO AMOLED display. A 50-megapixel main camera will be included on the device (with OIS support). The ‘Pro’ model will also include a 5,000mAh battery, and support 50W wireless charging.
