The Moto Edge+ 2023 has been listed on Google Play Console, giving users a glimpse of what to expect from Motorola’s latest flagship device this year.
Motorola launched the first generation Moto Edge+ in 2022. The phone is a rebranded version of the Moto X30 and is exclusive to the US market. While sales statistics for the phone are not available, the company plans to launch a successor in 2023.
The first Moto Edge+ came with a Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chipset, but the 2023 model reportedly features a Gen2 chipset based on TSMC’s 4nm manufacturing process. It also has 12GB of RAM and comes with Android 13 out of the box.

According to the leaked specifications, the Motorola’s 2023 flagship will have a screen with 1080*2400p resolution. Because the phone is a rebranded version of Moto X40, it’s more likely to feature a 6.7 inches OLED Display with a 165Hz refresh rate. There is also a punch-hole at the center top of the screen that holds a selfie camera.
In terms of design, the phone will feature a sleek and modern design with slim bezels. It also comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner for added security and convenience.
The camera array of the 2023 Moto Edge+ consists of a triple camera setup with 50MP+50MP+12MP sensors. You’ll also have a 60MP lens for taking selfies. As for the battery, the phone launches with a 4600mAh battery that supports 125W fast wired charging and 15W wireless charging.
The Moto Edge+ 2023 is expected to be a high-end device and offer users top-of-the-line specifications and features. Of course, Motorola will certainly find it hard to compete with Apple and Samsung in the US market.
Motorola has not yet revealed the official release date or pricing for its 2023 flagship. However, based on previous releases, the device will likely be launched in the first half of 2023 and will be priced competitively compared to other flagship devices.
