People are getting their Pixel 9 Pro XL units early

You’ve got to love early packages! According to Google’s launch roadmap, the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL weren’t supposed to even make it to store shelves until August 22, one day from when this post was written. This implies that they wouldn’t have even started shipping until then, giving some people a few days to wait until they get to unwrap their shiny new phone.

However, some users across Reddit and X.com have been posting about their new phones already. While both the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL are slated to release on the same day, we’re only seeing reports about the Pro XL version. Either the people posting their phones just happen to be XL owners or Google is shipping this version out early.

The Pixel 9 phones are AI-powered titans

If you’re curious about the Pixel 9 phones, these are devices you should know about. There are four different phones in the line. There is the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. These all come with the new Tensor G4 processor along with a ton of new AI features. The Pixel 9 comes with 12GB of RAM while the others come with 16GB of RAM. This RAM helps with AI processing.

The Pixel 9 starts at $799 while the Pixel 9 Pro starts at $999 and the Pixel 9 Pro XL comes in at $1,099. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is the most expensive one at $1,799.
