More than one report thus far suggested that the Pixel 8a will cost considerably more than the Pixel 7a. Well, we have some good news, that’s not true! The Pixel 8a will cost less than initially reported, that’s for sure.
The Google Pixel 8a price has been revealed, and it’s good news
SmartPrix just revealed the phone’s price tag for the US. The Pixel 8a with 128GB of storage will set you back $499, while the variant with 256GB of storage will cost $559. In other words, it’ll have the same price point as the Pixel 7a, at least in the US.
Needless to say, this makes the phone considerably more appealing. It’s going to be a much better value than some previous reports suggested, possibly a solid budget option for many. That’s what previous ‘Pixel a’ series devices were, so… there you have it.
In addition to sharing the Pixel 8a price, the source also shared some new promo materials. In the gallery at the very end of this article, you’ll find 8 new images. These are all lifestyle shots of the phone, so they do give us a great look at it.
Google’s new mid-ranger will look very similar to last year’s
The Pixel 8a will look very similar to the Pixle 7a, that’s not exactly a secret at this point. It will include a camera visor on the back, with two cameras. Those cameras will likely remain the same as on the Pixel 7a, in terms of hardware.
On the front, you’ll find a flat display with a centered display camera hole. The phone will seemingly arrive in four color options, Bay, Mint, Obsidian, and Porcelain.
Google still hasn’t announced when will the Pixel 8a launch, but chances are it will arrive during Google I/O 2024 next month. In other words, it’s expected on May 14, during Google’s keynote, as the same happened last year with the Pixel 7a. Do note that we’re only guessing here, though, of course.
