Last month, we exclusively reported that Samsung is developing an Ultra watch. A credible source has now backed up the information, confirming the existence of the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra in the company’s lineup. Noted tipster Evan Blass recently said that the new watch will launch soon.
Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra is on the way
Samsung is rumored to launch three Galaxy Watch 7 variants this year. Along with the standard and Classic models, the company has an Ultra model in the works. It might be a premium offering with extra features, including a bigger battery and 32GB of internal storage. There are also some unverified rumors about Samsung giving it a square finish rather than its typical circular design.
While we wait for more details to emerge, Evan Blass has hinted that the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra will debut alongside the other models in a few months. The tipster recently shared a list of devices Samsung has in the pipeline for a “near future” release. The Galaxy Book 4 Edge and Galaxy Book 4 Edge Pro are at the top of the list. The company unveiled both yesterday.
Below those are the Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. The former is Samsung’s next mid-range TWS earbuds, while the latter is an upcoming pair of premium buds. The list suggests that the Galaxy Ring might also be finally headed to the market. The Galaxy Watch FE, Galaxy Watch 7, and Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra sit next on the list, followed by Q6 (Galaxy Z Fold 6) and B6 (Galaxy Z Flip 6).
The FE model might be a rebadged Galaxy Watch 4 with an affordable price tag. The Galaxy Watch 7 and its Classic version should cater to a more premium segment. Finally, the Ultra model should be Samsung’s most premium smartwatch offering. The former two have already picked up a few regulatory certifications. The latter might join them in the coming days.
An Ultra foldable may not arrive anytime soon
Alongside an Ultra watch, Samsung is rumored to be working on an Ultra version of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. However, the latest leak doesn’t mention it. We can only see the regular Fold and Flip models referred to by their codenames—Q6 and B6, respectively. It is unclear whether Samsung has canceled or delayed the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra or if the list is incomplete. We shall find out soon, though.
If not all, most of the aforementioned Galaxy devices should break cover at Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event. The event takes place a couple of weeks earlier than last year. If leaks are accurate, the company will hold the big launch event on July 10 in Paris, France. Leaks about these devices might get more detailed in the build-up to their launch. We will keep you posted.
