The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE (Review) was an amazing phone, and the company is working on the next iteration as we speak. Right now, details about this phone are scarce, but the rumor mill isn’t dry. A new report just revealed some information about the Galaxy S24 FE’s camera sensor.
The Galaxy S24 FE is set to be a more affordable version of the Galaxy S24 phones. We don’t know what kind of specs we’re looking at, but we’re certain that they’ll be some older flagship specs. The Galaxy S23 FE used the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, and it was a year old when that phone came out. So, we expect it to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. We’re sure that it will have a premium design, a 1080p+ OLED display, and decent specs.
A new report reveals the Galaxy S24 FE’s camera sensor
Samsung reserves the top-tier camera performance and hardware for the more expensive Galaxy phones, but the company’s FE series does a decent job of taking pictures. So, we know that the Galaxy S24 FE’s camera will be a worthy contender in the premium mid-range smartphone market. Thanks to Galaxy Club, we know that Samsung isn’t looking to reinvent the wheel with the FE series.
The report states that the Galaxy S24 FE will use the ISOCELL GN3 sensor. This is a 50MP sensor with a 1/1.57-inch sensor size. It produces 1.0μm pixels and maxes out at 8160 x 6144.
If this sensor sounds familiar, it’s the same 50MP sensor present in the Galaxy S24 series proper and the Galaxy S23 series (that includes the Galaxy S23 FE). So, if you’ve used any of those phones, then you should be used to the performance.
One thing to note is that, while these phones share the same camera sensor, the images produced won’t look the same necessarily. Over the year since the Galaxy S23 series, Samsung has likely made some changes to its image processing.
