When phone companies launch their latest and greatest devices, there’s usually a lot of fanfare and hype around them. However, sometimes, companies secretly launch phones for no apparent reason. This is the case with the new OnePlus Nord N30 SE 5G. OnePlus dropped this phone on the market without so much as a whisper. It’s rather mysterious, as the device has a rather beautiful and stunning design.
It’s possible that the company didn’t want to take attention away from the newly launched OnePlus 12. This is the latest flagship from OnePlus, and it brings all the best specs. This phone has a large QHD+ display with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 5,400mAh battery, up to 24GB of RAM, up to 1TB of storage, and many more spectacular specs. Starting at only $799, this is one of the best phones you can buy at that price range. Be sure to check out our OnePlus 12 review.
OnePlus silently announces it’s Nord N30 SE 5G
The OnePlus 12 is a trailblazer, more than doubling the pre-orders of the OnePlus 11, but the latest Nord phone isn’t exactly a slouch. Starting off with the phone’s design, this is one of OnePlus’ nicest looking phones. It comes in two colors, Black Satin and Cyan Sparkle. The Cyan Sparkle looks particularly nice with its unique pattern on the back.
Moving on to the display, we see the typical mid-range fare. It’s rocking a large 6.7-inch LCD display with an FHD+ resolution (2,400 x 1,080). Judging by how nice the display is on the OnePlus Nord N30 (Review), we expect this display to be equally as nice if not comparable. OnePlus has a track record of giving its cheaper phones exceptionally beautiful displays.
Moving on to the internals, this phone is powered by the mid-range MediaTek Dimensity 6020 SoC. So, this phone will be perfect for doing moderate and light tasks. You’ll be able to do those tasks for an extended period of time because this phone comes with a large 5,000mAh battery. The 33W charging only sweetens the deal.
Moving on to the camera, this phone has a 50-megapixel primary camera, and that’s accompanied by a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Up front, we’re looking at an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
Unfortunately, this phone is missing a 3.5 mm headphone jack. However, it does have a new 300% Ultra volume mode.
Price and availability
While this phone was spotted on the official OnePlus website, it was spotted on the global website. OnePlus didn’t give the official price for this phone. So, we’ll have to give you an update when that information comes out.
